Introduction

Beginning Digital Arts

My feelings about the first class were ambivalent. I was both excited to be taking a class on something I have little to no experience with, and also nervous that I'll do poorly in this class for the aforementioned reason. The last art class I took was in 9th grade, so I would say art is not the most important part of my life on a day-to-day basis. However, I am always eager to learn and try new things so I'm optimistic about the semester and what's to come!

About Me

My name's Selena Quintana, I'm from New York, and I'm a first year at UT. My major is criminology, which I'm very passionate about. I'm hoping my career path with either lead me to become a crime scene investigator or a homicide detective. The only type of art I've ever been passionate about is makeup and special effects makeup. It may sound silly but I got paid to do it in high school and I love testing different patterns and colors, which I suppose is a type of art. 

Expectations

My expectations for this class are more about leisure than they are career-oriented. Because I'm more interested in criminology as a career, I expect that this class will be a fun refresher in contrast to my science and law classes.
